Who are these people?

A friend of the blog, who shall remain anonymous, sent us the following of a recent photo shoot out back in the alley behind Busboys and Poets and Marvin on 14th Street. (Classy.)

This source speculates that several of these subjects seen in the photos here may be a few of the Real World D.C. cast.

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

Now let's take a look at the facts:

They appear to be young, 20-somethings and wearing douchey t-shirts. (Sorry dude in the orange shirt but only people who can destroy me are allowed to wear such things.)

There's a combination of one guy (green shirt, light blue jeans from the '80s) who looks like Anthony Michael Hall in the Breakfast Club and another guy (black shirt, white shoes) with way too much product in his 'do.

They're totally in an urban setting (just look at that graffiti on those walls!) and there's legit photography equipment in the area.

Either this is the Real World D.C. cast or equally dumb cast members of some other wildly moronic reality television show highlighting the Real Douchebags of D.C.

If that IS the cast, those white pumps on the woman are incredibly unfortunate. Maybe they will fit in to DC's sensibilities :)

Er, this reminds me of a famous blog post of my ally....but that's a little different.

It could be a group coverboy shot for Metro Weekly! Take it from someone who's gone shirtless for them in 20-degree weather in the alley behind old WWG hq.

Ok, now you are reaching. Do you have any idea how many photographers are in the DC metro area? I would say hundreds. Since it is outside Busboys and Poets (prominent indie place) you have to expect photo shoots. The back alley way is a popular place for photographers because of scenery/graffiti.

Being a photographer myself, this is a spot that a lot of people use. Stop reaching far for stories. Keep your blog simple and about the neighborhood and not a random stalker taking pictures of a photoshoot.

Next you are going to say the Whale/Lady GaGa music video is promo for The Real World DC trailer. I am not a fan of the Real World coming to DC and do like some of your points, but choose your stories wisely, this is just dumb.

The white pumps are so unfortunate that they are semi-fab. She got attitude to wear those things.

@Rosebud, agreed. She is wearing them before Labor Day, so technically she's not breaking any rules, if you pay attention to that stuff. :)

They don't look like a bad bunch overall. Also if it's really just a shoot for a publication, I think we're all going to laugh at ourselves.

PS this reminds me there is some great graffiti art in this town.

It's some kind of a shoot related to the t-shirts they're wearing. They're all wearing very similar t-shirts.

I can say with 95% certainty that this is not the real world cast.

Reason 1: They haven’t started shooting. The hamsters don’t usually meet until the first day of shooting, and it this first encounter that is usually a major story line plot of the first episodes; because they are all trying to find the gay one.

Reason 2: The alley. Why? The normal glamour shots they do usually have a back ground that has to do with city they are in. Although DC is known for quality crack alleys, it is more known for those monuments and fancy buildings. I am pretty sure BMP has the typical view of DC and that it consists of the Mall and Georgetown, and everywhere else is an urban killing field.

I want to see a DC photoshoot in the tunnels beneath the Library of Congress. Hawt.

Vevmo says this is not the cast even though they don't cite their sources...

Tracy, it's not the cast. The webmaster at Vevmo is correct. They never cite their sources, but they have only be wrong once in their spoiler revelations.

The executive producer and other producers have not moved in yet.
